Action and Advocacy


The League of Women Voters takes action on an issue or advocates for a cause when there is an existing League position that supports the issue or speaks to the cause.

We study and take positions on many social issues. New study groups and committees are formed as needed.


*NATURAL RESOURCES - participates in trips, events, lectures and seminars related to environmental and climate change issues at the national, state and local level.

* EDUCATION - involved in studying education reform in NJ. Currently studying resources available for residents to become more informed about the roles and responsibilities that citizens have in a democracy

* HUMAN/DRUG TRAFFICKING works at educating the community on the dangers and spread of human trafficking in New Jersey and the Nation. We conduct workshops and do presentations throughout the Township toward this goal.

* VOTERS SERVICE - We work all year to empower all <eligible voters to participate in our political system. We conduct voter registration drives and sponsor candidate forums
